Hi, my name is Emerald. Let’s get to know each other.

I’m a born and raised Idahoan. I fell in love with the Salmon River at age four and have been trying to get sand out of my hair ever since.

I’m now based in Salmon, Idaho, a rural riverside town of 3,000 people. You can usually find me at a boat ramp rigging a fishing trip, exploring Idaho’s backcountry with my partner and cowdog, or cuddled up in a tent reading a good book.

I’m an outdoor writer and project manager with an extensive background in the outfitting and guiding industry. My project management expertise helps ensure our time together is well-organized, efficient, and goal-oriented. I am available for hire to write for your publication, moderate your next panel, or help you edit and build a community voice.
